It's Been A Long Journey
I realized how lucky I was when I was reading articles about Datuk Najib Tun Razak being appointed the new Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. In my course of life, God has been kind enough to let me be friends with some exciting people, and to manipulate my conscious mind to go to a pain-ass boarding school but surviving 5 years of hell and joy. Clueless what I am talking about? Let me tell you. Lucky me, when was 14, that is in Form 2, my school KUSESS was officially launched by the infamous and notorious Anwar Ibrahim who is now in jail and God knows what happen to him in there. Accompanying him is none other than now our DPM, Datuk Najib, who at that time I believe was the Minister of Education. Urghh, it's kinda disgusting to imagine, isn't it that the person who launched your school is now in jail? Well, that's not the main point anywayz.

Going on...when I was 16, that is in Form 4, Stadium Malawati which is situated right behind my school, was launched by our great former PM, Dr. Mahathir. Lucky again, I and some other friends had the chance to escort him to the main gate. Seeing him so up close and personal with other people pushing wanting to shake hands with him...phew, that is once in a lifetime experience. Then, when I was 19, a father of a very close friend of mine passed away. May God bless his soul. The ceremony before the burial was held at now our PM, Pak Lah's house. I guess that Lady of Luck was smiling upon me again at that time. Not that I was too excited to get to see Pak Lah or anything as I was grieving for my close friend and her whole family.

Finally, when I went back to Malaysia during summer break last year, my friend 1 met this friend while we were hanging out, and my friend 2 invited me to hang out with her friend and her friend's friend. Happen to be this person is that friend 1's friend that we met the other day. You get what I mean rite? Annndd yeah, turned out to be this person is the son of Datuk Najib. What a BIG coincidence! I got to see the dad a long time ago, and now I got to hang out with the son.

So, my point is, I am lucky to have meet these prominent people who all of them are or used to be the leaders of my great country. I am not rich, my parents ain't no big names but still life gives me this lucky fate. I am not bragging either. I just wanna say having meet these people, I realize that my life is not bad as I picture it is. I've got to meet my biggest inspiration, I've got to know how life revolves around them.....in a way, I've got to learn something precious and meaningful. It does take a long road for one to reach what he or she desires.
