I was surfing around hitz.fm and I came across this online shoutout:

my friends that i luv kak deeya so much and she is like my real sister for me. i hope u hear my shout out. sabrina we were friends forever, don fight anymore. this is all for sekolah menengah puteri at seremban. this skewl is realy rocks me. i went this skewl n my brain got something happen.ok,bubby

I don't know whether to laugh or to feel sorry for this kiddo. But I have to admit my first impression is to laugh. This is not the only example of bad English that I've seen over the past months among Malaysians. Sorry but my intention here is not to embarass anyone, believe me my English is not super either, but somehow, it just tickles me that one doesn't acquire enough skills to master the English language. I'm really glad both my dad and my mom went to an English school and taught me English since I was a toddler. I wish that is the case for everyone. I read somewhere some time that the MUET performance this year is at an unsatisfactory level. The government ought to really do something about this, don't you think?
