I went to watch Troy last night. It is a great movie, far better than Helen of Troy. But, yeaps, there's a but, I will have to say that The Last Samurai is directed and acted more beautifully than this adaptation of the Illiad by Homer. Pitt as Achilles, looking real good in that skirt and armor, didn't fail to impress me with his acting skills. However, the real credit here, I must say goes to Eric Bana as Prince Hector. Damn, he looked real macho in this movie..hahaha. Somehow, he made Achilles look like a great but reckless and too emotional warrior while Hector is never less a great AND a wise fighter. Pete O'Toole as King Priam gives an excellence performance too. I particularly like the part where he bravely met Achilles to claimed his son's corpse. It was a touching moment. My favorite part? The one-on-one battle between Achilles and Hector. It was disappointing to see Achilles died in the end, killed by the foolish Orlando Bloom, acting as Prince Paris. I'd rather see him dead because he proved to be an undeniably coward and stupid brother. Plus, I don't think that is how the story goes in Illiad, does it? Paris died in a war. I should hit the Illiad again some time soon to verify the storyline. I lurve Greek!

I'm out into the wilderness of Yellowstone National Park in 2 days. So, I won't be blogging till I come back. See you people then. Auf wiedersehen! Ich wusche dich ein wunderbar und schon Woche.
