Despite not having much to do at the moment, I'm surprised that I'm not bothered with the fact that I was back in Malaysia sooner than I had planned. The weather is okay, even if it's hot sometimes, it is still bearable. I seldom get to meet my friends since they're all busy working and to be exact I've only met them once. I don't have any source of income right now so I don't have money to go shop in the midst of the Mega Sale Carnival. I've only been out of my house for a couple of times to the point I am bored just lazying around. But I'm not bothered at all. To put in another way, I'd rather be bored here in KL, in my own home rather than in Madison. Because everyone knows that KL is waayyy much more interesting than Madison! Hahaha. Okay. The privacy and freedom I worried so much before flying back home is not a problem at all. With my mom busy working and my sis & bro at college, half of the day it is just me and my dad at home. He cooks for me, he does the laundry, I do my own thing and he does his own thing. As I seldom go out, it is easier for me to go out at night nowadays. So far, I'm liking this life much better. What worries me now is when the hell am I gonna be called for a job interview?! Patience never go well with me and sitting at home waiting for my phone to ring is not so....adventurous.

In 2 days, it's Hari Merdeka. Happy 49th Independence Day Malaysia! I'll be at home watching the fireworks from my house porch! Hehe. And next week...finally. To Phuket baby!

BBQ outing at Lan's & Ilham's house. Too bad I didn't have the chance to snap more pictures especially with the guys since I have to rush back home before my dad starts to bug me on the phone. It's fun, being able to see faces that you haven't seen since two years ago. I'm waiting for the next BBQ party! Hahaha...

"Oh! So many Malaysians!" If a Malaysian in Malaysia heard this coming from my mouth, they must be disgusted. But that is how I truly felt when coming out from my nest after such a long rest at home. I went to see Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical last night. So many Malaysians, with elegant shirts and pretty dresses. In my honest opinion, I thought the musical was superb. Broadway-level, no doubt. It was even more interesting than that off-Broadway show that I watched a couple of months ago. But the long hours did make me weary from time to time. I thought I saw Paula Malai Ali.

Today, I went for a job interview, then to a Japanese language school and then wandering around Bukit Bintang area. Oh so many Malaysians! It felt like such a long time ago did I see these many Malaysian faces. I don't despise these faces. It just felt a little odd. I'm still in the mode where I think I'm a foreigner in my own land, hence the feeling. And just the most surprising occassion occured today. Farah, her bro, Meon, Rifa and I went for a drink at the sidewalk of Bukit Bintang, a merely fruit juice store which we thought might be a cheaper option than the opposite Starbucks. When we went to the counter to pay, I was SHOCKED to read that a price for a glass of fruit juice is RM15!!! The one that if you go to a gerai and order a "gelas besar", you only have to pay RM4-RM5. We thought it was hella expensive that we did The-70's-show-dine-and-run, paying only RM30 even though we ordered 6 glasses of fruit juice. What company are they to sell at such intolerable price?! Even a fancy restaurant won't charge that much. And nobody has ever complained to the Consumer Board yet?

Malaysia. Indeed...a land of mystery.

Yesterday. Heavy downpour. Malaysian rain. The kind that remind you of your primary school essay- "Guruh berdentum. Kilat sabung menyabung"- it makes you think that the God is relenting all his anger. This is the kind of rain that I love.

So far, since reaching Malaysia last week, I have been relaxing about in my own home. I don't have an urge to go out or anything like that. Maybe because I've been feeling sick, and the fact that my home is much cooler compare to the heat outside, which is also 10 times cooler than my Madison's apartment. And why would I want to go out when I have a huge plasma TV in my living room? Ahhh...the comfort of living at home.

Next week agenda: JPA Putrajaya, Puteri Gunung Ledang theater and Pial's BBQ.
