ZINEDINE ZIDANE. Indeed a true 3-time FIFA World Player of the Year. His 3rd goal, which is a beautiful one, confirmed France to go to World Cup quarter finals. I am so happy for them..yeay!! Having to face Brazil after this, it's World Cup Final 1998 all over again. I think I am going to stay neutral for the that match since I like both teams, but Brazil pretty sure is the better team so I think they'll win. Nevertheless, Zidane can retire from the World Cup with a big smile on his face. Congrats!

Don't you think that today's Portugal vs. Holland football match is the most happening and the most dramatic game so far in World Cup 2006? It was fun too watch, but also scary. I guess FIFA has a lot more work to do to emphasize their "Fair Play" motto. I didn't get to watch the first half, which was when the Portugal earned their goal that qualified them to quarter finals, but this is for sure: the second half of the game was just full of determination to win and hate to the other team.

4 red cards, 15 yellow cards(or is it more than that?), fights, pushing, injuries, riots even at the official bench...plus the searing heat, the referee for this game must have faced the most terrible headache that he pulled out so many cards. Even my stomach was doing flip flops during the whole second half. With Portugal down to 9 players and a few minutes later to 8 players, Holland without a doubt has more chances to attack while Portugal needless to say, must defend and defend (which I think they did a pretty good job at). Had Holland scored an equal goal and the match had to be continue for an extra time, I think there might have been bleeding noses and bruised eyes.

Despite all the dramas, I am glad Portugal won. Being a loyal Portugal fan since Euro , I am really hoping that they could make it to at least quarter finals...and they did! I don't care'lah' who played kotor and all, since both teams are flaming mad each other...all I hope is that they'll win in their next match against England, which is gonna be tough(I think eventho to me England is one boring team) since two star players received 2 yellow cards already. I might have to watch that game alone since I know banyak Malaysians must be rooting for England.

But, Go Portugal! And Italy and Brazil! And whoever else yang terror...hehe.

I am entering my 3rd week of my 5th week Japanese 3rd semester intensive course. I'm studying more for this class everyday than I have ever did for an entire semester. I love the class though; I have a pretty sensei with a jovial personality to keep me awake during the 4-long-hours of class. But what annoys me is this one guy with his big curly hair who sit in front of me. For the love of God, I sometimes feel like strangling him for being so stupid... or maybe he's just faking it, I don't know. Simple questions like "Shuumatsu nani o shimashitaka" took him 5 long minutes to answer. I mean hello....??? We're already 2nd year students, so can you just answer that easy question already. It doesn't help that he keeps doing that for every question asked and when he stumbles, he like to go "blurgh". And him doing stupid intonations & actions in class during kaiwa. If ikut cakap orang Melayu, tersangatlah poyonye. I thought I was the only one who hates him but I just discovered two days ago while talking with my classmate that everyone else in class hate his guts as much as I do. I haven't bitch or hate a classmate since such a long time, so it felt good than everyone shared the same annoyance as I do. Today somebody in class practically snorted when he tried to answer a question while another student tried to imitate his dumbness. I mean...I don't mind people not knowing how to answer questions but this guy seem to be so poyo and fake. He even raised hands often to answer during Q&A session but then he just go "Er...." and go deep into thinking. It seems that he can even pronounce many words correctly when answering. How did this guy even passed the oral interview exam?! I think even the senseis don't like him that much. There are times when my patience go wary(like today) that I just wanted to shout "Baka!" at him. I wonder if he got a C for last semester Japanese. C'mon man, get over it already or why don't you join the kindergarten kids and learn how to speak properly first.

Pictures sometime can speak a thousand words. Below are photos from last week Terrace Fest.

One of the thing that you can do in UW-Madison. UW-Madison owns the largest number of sailing boats after Naval Academy in the US.

Johnny man seemed to be enjoying himself in the Terrace Idol. He may not be the best singer out there, but he did brighten up the mood of what otherwise could've been another boring evening in Madison.

Aren't they the cutest? Love in the air? Or are they just siblings? You kids rock!

My not-so-16-years-old little sister asked me to listen to search this band on Youtube and try listening to their song when I called home yesterday. A nice song, but a weird band name, don't you think? Apekah the meaning of Samsons?

I'm back!! And this time, I'll try to blog more frequent than I used to last month. I did not have a wee of free time since the last weeks. Midwest Games proved to be tiring than I expected. I felt bad for my two good friends who came all the way from New York and Cleveland but I couldn't spend more than 3 hours with them since I was hella tired running back and forth from my place to the basketball court and to the soccer field. Not to mention all the hectics such as setting up courts, dealing with refs, negotiation with NAT officials that I have had to handle at the basketball court. In addition to that, I had to push tiang gol bola lelaki yang berat nak mampos since most of the other officials supposedly to handle that were busy eating! I think my friends and I stopped about like hundred times before we made it to the end of the field. Phew...to imagine I was the only woman to have to push that thing as heavy as a giant. Unfortunate to being busy, I have no time to take a single photo during the whole event.

As soon as Midwest Games was over, my friend and I escaped to Boston for a week vacation. The vacation was meant for us to relax and let me tell you, it was the most relaxed holiday I have ever had abroad. We woke up and went out as late as we wanted, and got back to our hostel and slept as early as we wanted too. Boston's a beautiful and not-too busy city and I will be the happiest person on earth if I could move there instantly now. Now that I am back in Madison, I feel sungguh bosan! Harvard was the most beautiful. I have uploaded my photos to fotopages, so fellow readers, feel free to look at them.

I am tired. I have my first summer class tomorrow. But I'll be back. And I'll write more. I want to watch X3!
